Samantha Headley works on her mural in the evening of August 5, 2017. Headley was participating in Freak Alley Gallery's seventh annual mural event in downtown Boise, Idaho.

This was her first time painting at Freak Alley. Her mural is based on a block print she created when she was in high school. She thought it would translate well into a mural since it's black and white and she could use different thickness of line to create the texture.

Known by her friends as always making happy uplifting pieces. When she created this image, she wanted to push herself out of her comfort zone and to do something completely different and something that looked cool. It was made around halloween.

Freak Alley Gallery's week long event provided an "art-in-motion" experience as it welcomed the public to watch artists work on their murals.
