Vigil for Idaho's Salmon event by Idaho Rivers United, Idaho Conservation League, Shoshone-Bannock Tribes, and Idaho Sierra Club at the Idaho Capitol in downtown Boise, Idaho, November 20, 2021.

November 20, 2021, marked the 30 year anniversary since the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes successfully petitioned to have Snake River sockeye salmon listed as endangered under the Endangered Species Act. Yet, in 2021, only 4 natural adult sockeye completed the migration to Idaho waters. The event was an attempt to hold decision-makers accountable for developing a salmon recovery plan that restores a free-flowing lower Snake River.
