If we can save the salmon, we can save ourselves.
Salmon in the Desert, a Prayer. Until the 1870’s uncountable salmon ran the Owyhee rivers into the Nevada desert. 965 miles! May they do it again. Michael Jones, September 2021.
Teal Gardner’s “Breach the Dam” art workshop at Roots Zero Waste Market in Garden City, Idaho on December 4, 2021. Images from December 5, 2021.
Fabric square patches were created at the workshop using markers, stitching, stencils, and printmaking. The patches will be part of a growing community banner to gather voices to communicate the need for seek action leading to the recovery of Idaho’s sockeye salmon.
