Boise sophomore Emily Hamlin, Mountain View junior Sam McKinnon, and Meridian senior Lila Klopfenstein lead the pack during the second lap of the Idaho High School State Track and Field Championships 5A 1600 meter run on May 18, 2013 at Eagle High School, Eagle, Idaho.

McKinnon won the race (5:01.87) and was followed by Hamlin (5:02.91) and Klopfenstein (5:03.74). Between the three of them they claimed the state meet 5A distance titles with Hamlin winning the 800 meters, McKinnon the 1600 meters and Klopfenstein the 3200 meters.
