Saved from the wrecking ball during 1990’s, these buildings are on the National Register of Historic Places and a community treasure. The Drexel Foundation was originally created to help preserve the Historic 1908 Vale Hotel (formerly the Drexel Hotel) and 1895 Grand Opera House.
Drexel H. Foundation: Our mission is to enrich the lives of youth & families by providing art, humanities, and multicultural experiences; to restore & preserve historical buildings in rural eastern Oregon. We provide FREE Multi-disciplined Art programs for children. We promote the performing & visual arts into an underserved rural Oregon. Our events promote heritage, culture, & Art. They allow artists, youth, and families to connect with the community in a more interactive way.
