Candace "Sprite" Rood works on her mural late in the evening of August 10, 2017. Rood was participating in Freak Alley Gallery's seventh annual mural event in downtown Boise, Idaho.
This is her fourth time she has participated in Freak Alley's mural event. This year she is adding on to the figure she started three years ago. The figures are coming out of the door like a pandora's box. She's been reading the Tibetan Book of the Dead and her mural is referring to the seven gods and their more visceral angry side. They do have a happier side which she would like to incorporate into the mural next year.
Freak Alley Gallery's week long event provided an "art-in-motion" experience as it welcomed the public to watch artists work on their murals.
