The lead pack (Front to back: Samantha McKinnon, Emily Hamlin, Sara Musselman, Mikayla Malaspina, Erin Hagen and Sara Christianson) during the first lap of the 5A State Track & Field Championships 1600 meter final at Dona Larsen Park, Boise, Idaho on May 17, 2014.

Boise junior Emily Hamlin won the race (4:55.06) followed by McKinnon (4:57.36) and Mountain View junior Erin Hagen. Both Hamlin's and McKinnon's time broke the state meet record set by Boise's Dana Morgan (4:59.45) in 2006.
