Boise senior Emily Hamlin has the lead on the second loop of the Idaho High School Cross Country State Championships 5A girls race on November 1, 2014 at Eagle Island State Park, Eagle, Idaho. Hamlin won the race in 18:14.7 to clinch her third state meet cross country title.

Hamlin was followed by Coeur d'Alene seniors Kara Story (18:20.0) and Josie Brown (18:36.0), Vallivue senior Mikayla Malaspina (18:47.7), and Borah junior Sara Christianson.
