Lexy Halladay and Sara Christianson finish lap one during the YMCA Track & Field Middle School Invitational 1600 meter run on May 28, 2016 at Mountain View High School, Meridian, Idaho.

Hallady won the event in 4:46.47, the fastest time in the nation this year for an eighth grader.

Sara helped pace Lexy through the first 1100 meters. These two are Idaho's two fastest distance prep girls with Lexy's 1600 (4:46.47) and Sara's Idaho State Meet record times in the 1600 (4:53.86) and 3200 (10:36.00) which she set in May 2016 during the Idaho State Track & Field Championships.
