Megan Mizuta and Betsie Richardson during the BOSCO Small Works show at Surel's Place, Garden City, Idaho. April 3, 2015.

This was a juried show of art by Boise Open Studios Collective Organization (BOSCO) members. The show exhibited a reflective cross-section of the diverse styles of the artists who are members of this important Boise arts organization.

This collaboration between Surel’s Place and BOSCO was a natural one. BOSCO is a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to promoting and fostering greater understanding of the creative process between artists and the general public, which is echoed by the mission of Surel’s Place. And, Surel Mitchell was a founding member of BOSCO, making this show in her home and studio all the more fitting.Twenty-four BOSCO members exhibited works 8x8 inches and smaller.

Betsie Richardson's 5"x5" (oil on wood panel) life of tangerines is titled "They later regretted their hair style choices from the 80s". It was her first painting since having her baby, Olive.
